About Us

South Canterbury Gymsports Inc. (formerly Highfield Gymnastics Club) was originally established in 1980.  The club was initially run from the Highfield School hall and remained there until club growth prompted a move to larger premise and the club began operating out of the table tennis facility in Coonoor Rd.  The club then changed its name to South Canterbury Gymsports (SCG) in June 2011.  After much anticipation, in 2015 SCG made the big move into a dedicated Gymsports facility.  The South Canterbury Movement Centre, 8 Craigie Avenue, Parkside, is now home to South Canterbury Gymsports Inc. This has meant more space and time available to grow our club.

South Canterbury Gymsports is an incorporated society, registered as a charitable entity and we are governed by the rules of our constitution.  Our AGM is held in March each year.  There has been a strategic plan adopted to guide the club through the next three years.
